During my 4th semester of nursing school, I was given the opportunity to complete my preceptorship in the Emergency Department. This experience proved to be one of the most enlightening and educational of my life, largely due to the amazing nurses and other hospital staff I was privileged to meet and work with! In November 2017, just one month before graduation and HOURS into my preceptorship, I was inspired to write this article for my nursing school newspaper!
I’ve kind of always dreamed of writing articles for magazines or newspapers, so seeing my article published still makes me pretty freaking happy and proud of myself! 🙂 I hope you guys enjoy it, and if you are an ER nurse, I have so much respect for you!
